House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) paused a moment in a hall for a quick interview with a reporter:
Strange, but prior to Boehner’s weepy victory speech on election night back in November, he didn’t always seem on the verge of tears.
Perhaps this was just one bad shot among many in which he looked cheerful, but it’s becoming more difficult to see him give a speech or do anything without worrying he’s going to break into blubbering at any moment.
I hope for his sake, nice man that he is, that he will soon adapt to the enormity of his rise to the Speakership and restore his emotional equilibrium again. Until then, I also hope that his staff will keep him away from women’s movies, kittens and Save the Children ads.
